A delectable, Mouth Watering, Tantalizing and Quick Spicy Recipe for your taste buds craving for something spicy.
The Ingredients/Serving 4 People
- 8 Round Average Size Desi Juicy Tomatoes – Cut them in Half
- 2 Average Size Potatoes
- 4 pieces of Green Chilli – Cut them into very small size
- 100 gm Green Peas if available
- 5 pieces of Cashew/Kaju – Cut into Small Pieces
- A Table Spoon full of Refined
- 2 Tea Spoon Desi Ghee
- A Pinch of Cumin Seeds/Zeera
- A Pinch of Turmeric Powder/Haldi
- A Pinch of Ready Made Garam Masala Powder
- Hari Dhaniya
- Pinch of Black Salt
- 50 gm Curd
- Sweet Sauce/Chutney from nearby Sweet Shop/Chaat Hawker if not at home.
- Gol Gappe from nearby Chaat Hawker if not at home.
The Spicy Recipe
- Boil the Potato and Green Peas or let it cook for 10 minutes in a bowl in Microwave.
- In the meantime, take a tablespoon full of Refined in a Pan and add Zeera and Green Chilli when hot.
- Add the sliced tomatoes and keep it for 3 to 5 minutes in a low flame. The cut side of tomato should be on the Pan Base.
- After 3 to 5 minutes when the tomatoes are slightly cooked/tender, start crushing them with a sharp cooking spoon/spatula and let it cook for another 3 to 5 minutes. In case it sticks, adds half a cup of water.
- Now crush and add the cooked Potato and Green Peas to the mixture and also add Black Salt, Haldi, Garam Masala Powder and Salt to Taste. Crush the mixture well.
- Add a Tea Spoon of Desi Ghee and Cook for another five minutes.
- Again add a Tea Spoon of Desi Ghee and dunk a handful of Hari Dhaniya, kaju and cook for another 5 minutes till the content is properly mixed and is slightly brown.
- Top it up with Dahi first and then the Sweet Chutney and Crushed Gol Gappe.
- Serve it Hot.
The Special Note
- Just make sure that the texture of the Spicy Recipe of Tomato Chaat becomes light brown, and thickness like that of Bhaji, before giving your finishing touch and have it HOT 🙂
